TEA in the "REIVER'S REST"

Our little glamper trailer came with a nicely constructed wooden box cover for the burners on the stove but I decided it needed a makeover to make it more attractive, more suited to our theme and with a dual purpose.   So, with some clean up, painting, minor glue repair,  eyelet fabric, a bit of grosgrain ribbon and some lace trim with Mod Podge we now have a beautiful stove cover that becomes a serving tray when it is flipped over.  Found some forks, drilled holes in them, shaped them a bit and attached them as handles.  The fabric and trim match the makeover on the frig which is just below the stove.  Much, much better!!

MEET "MARGUERITE" . . . the ANGEL

I love angels!  I collect angels and I found this adorable redhead at a thrift store that just makes me think of my mom. She wasn't a redhead herself, but she had redheaded siblings and two of my three sisters are redheads.  (I'm not a redhead either)

My mom was a farmwife and worked so hard on the farm, loving my dad, raising . . and loving  . . . her six children.  She was also a pianist and LOVED music, encouraging that love in her children, which also included me.  I've named this angel "Marguerite" to honor my mom who went to heaven in February 1994.

PLANS for ST. PATRICK'S DAY ???

Breakfast on St. Patrick's Day, 2012 while glamping in Arizona
It's hard to believe but St. Patrick's Day is less than a month away . . . mercy!  My daughter usually has her Spring Break from teaching at an elementary charter school the week in which St. Patricks' Day falls.  This image of a cup of Irish Breakfast Tea is a wonderful reminder of the fun times she and I have had together over the years while she's been on her break.  I'm looking forward to seeing her again in March . . . this time it'll be a bit later than St. Patrick's Day, but no less special!!!

TANGLED NEST CARDS by "BIRDIE"

This is an example of the zentangle artwork that my daughter does and I think she is FABULOUS!   She has several designs that she makes into cards to sell.  They are handmade, creative, beautiful and very unique.
In addition to this birthday cake design she also has a birthday cupcake, lovebirds, hearts, flowers, baby buggies, baby rattles, and four different camper/glamper trailer designs.
They are wonderful to send!  And, a set of four makes a wonderful gift for a friend or relative!

IT's ALL ABOUT LOVING, CARING and SHARING

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!  I'm reminded more and more each day about how important our family and friends are to us and that Valentines Day is a day to honor those folks as well.  It's not just about romantic love, sweethearts and all that!
My hubby and I have been married 45 years and it's essential that I acknowledge my love, appreciation and gratitude for him and what he's been to me all these years.

BUT, it's important to let my family and friends know how much they are loved and appreciated!  Without them where would we be!
THANK YOU ALL!!!
HUGS, KISSES and TONS of APPRECIATION and LOVE TO YOU!!!

TULIPS for VALENTINE'S DAY

I saw these potted tulips while grocery shopping this week and decided they would be a lovely addition to my house for a pick-me-up and for Valentine's Day.  When I bought them the flowers were just starting to open and with each day they are opening up more and more.
I was right . . . they are a wonderful bright spot in the kitchen and perfect for Valentine's Day.  An encouragement to be reminded of the beauty of God's creation and Hope He gives!
Happy Valentine's Day!

A BULLETIN BOARD for the "REIVER'S REST"

There was a perfect wall space area in our little glamper trailer for a bulletin board.  So, this is what I came up, made from lightweight foam board with a cork layer over the top, three different fabric prints, some ribbon, eyelet trim and buttons.  It fits perfectly and will be great for posting little mementos, notes, etc.

The little ATC was made for me by a farmgirl friend, is a glamped up tent and I think it's just adorable.

My daughter, Robin, (she's also my glamping
partner) and I have been avid, stylish and creative tent glampers.  We'll still use our tent because the "Reiver's Rest" is pretty tiny . . . it's REALLY CUTE too!!  Wish you could stop by, sit a spell and have  tea!
